Petit Cœur de Bray is a charming heart-shaped soft cheese from Normandy’s Pays de Bray, crafted by Fromagerie du Pays de Bray under the AOP Neufchâtel designation. According to local legend, the heart shape was created during the Hundred Years'War,when Norman maidens offered heart-shaped cheeses to English soldiers as a symbol of affection.
Made from raw cow's milk and gently aged for about 10 days, it develops a soft, velvety white rind and a creamy, slightly moist interior. The flavor is fresh and milky, with light acidity and salt balance, maturing into subtle nutty and earthy notes over time. This Mini version offers an elegant, individual serving size—perfect for cheese platters, romantic dinners, or pairing with Champagne, Chablis, or Normandy cider.
