Originating from the Saône-et-Loire area in southern Burgundy, Bouton de Culotte—literally meaning “little button”—is a charmingly small goat’s milk cheese that embodies the region’s artisanal tradition.
Its bloomy rind reveals an ivory-white paste, soft and slightly moist at the core. The flavor begins fresh and tangy, with gentle grassy and goaty notes; as it matures, it develops richer aromas reminiscent of nuts and dried hay. The texture evolves delicately from the rind toward the center, offering a smooth mouthfeel with a clean, elegant finish.
